(Syn. Asarina purpusii) A relatively compact cascading climber perpetually smothered with cerise trumpets until the frost. Performs well cascading from a basket or climbing up in a pot, but in rich open soil, with adequate support, will amaze you.

Sowing Advice

Sow at anytime. Cover thinly in a pot of good compost in a warm bright position. Keep moist. Slow germination, May be 2-3 months or more. Grow on individual seedlings in 3 inch pots. Plant finally with climbing support in well-drained, sheltered spot or very large pot. Prune to the ground in autumn. Keep tuber frost-free.
