Tomato Snowberry
In stock
Description
This lovely pale-skinned fruit is an excellent cropper, making a brilliant contrast with dark-fruited tomatoes in a salad. It has a delightfully intense, sweet and fruity taste with just a tiny amount of acid to keep it from being bland, so it is very refreshing. In England it was rated second in the RHS Tasting Trials for a cherry tomato in 2007! Cordon. Fast-fruiting...75 days from transplanting.
Sowing Advice
Seeds are surface-sown or covered only slightly. Do not allow the soil to dry out. Containers are held in warm conditions until sprouts appear, which may take anywhere from 3-10 days. Move sprouting plantings immediately to bright light conditions, such as a south-facing window. Inadequate light is a frequent cause of failure of young seedlings. At about the time of last frost, set out seedlings into grow bags.
